A Beginner's Guide To Earning Online Free Without Investment

It’s easy to earn online without spending a dime. If you want to go from zero to $5,000 this year. You need to spend less time on your computer, more money on the internet. You can do it without investment.

I use to work as an engineer building products and services for companies like Facebook, eBay, Google and Cisco. I've learned everything about digital marketing, social media marketing, content writing. Since most of my friends are engineers or digital product managers, they already know and have worked on projects with me before. They even helped us when we didn’t know how to deal with our websites or email accounts. When I first started blogging, I thought that was an extra layer of expertise. Now that I've mastered those skills, no expert can tell you what to do. Just apply what works right now. The only thing you need is a laptop, internet access and some patience.

Here I will share some simple steps to make some passive income. What is Passive-Income?

Passive Income means a passive income stream where you keep earning an income stream by investing in something that makes no demand for human effort but still needs a place. Basically it’s the idea of putting all the money you already earned for years into one project or business. All you need is some knowledge and ability to get things done. Passive income is easier to create and execute than it has been in recent years. Most people have forgotten how much hard work goes into making a decent living. That’s true for everyone, not just for bloggers.

Here are some examples of passive income streams:

1) Blogging/Writing.

Anyone who wants to write and grow their blog can start it without any investment to become successful. No technical knowledge or coding experience needed. As long as you have a clear goal and topic ideas, you'll be able to build a successful blog. Not all blogs succeed, but it doesn't matter how many times you think your posts suck. Once you start a blog, you can stop anytime you want. So don't worry, because you won't lose money after that. The best part is, once you start generating page views, you can keep improving. There's no limit to growth. You're free to turn off comments and ads to keep the cost low.

2) Affiliate Marketing/PR (Search Engine Optimization).

Search engine optimization is very famous. Many marketers have found success creating organic listings on search engines such as Bing and Yahoo. As an affiliate marketer, you can promote these listings in other places like YouTube, Instagram, Google Adwords, etc. If someone buys through a link on your site, you'll receive a small commission. Here's a great example of PPC advertising: "http://bit.ly/3d4fqY6". This is a perfect example of using external links like Youtube, Blogger, Social Media, Medium and even Quora, even though you probably wouldn't think of them as relevant to the website (or blog post for that matter) in the first place. Here's an example of Linkedin PR - http://bit.ly/3d4fqY6 - the click on the “More Info” button leads the user to another article.

3) Ecommerce/Dropshipping (Word-of-Mouth).

Dropshipper is one of the leading eCommerce platforms in the US. With this platform, you can sell anything on almost any website. For example, anyone who sells clothes online can list their store on Dosh where millions of customers find everything for sale. By dropping off their items to the seller via drop shipping, you get to skip the hassle of inventory, shipping costs, dealing with returns or refunds. And you pay a small monthly fee to Dosh for hosting.

4) Start Offering Digital Products and Services.

Starting up a digital agency that offers SEO services to businesses that want to take their brand to new heights. Or, starting a WordPress template, which helps people and visitors to easily design their own websites. These are both high value products in terms of time and money if you think about it. Yes, you need to build good relationships with your potential clients. Build a personal connection through these projects so that they will come back to you for additional help and resources like training, support, advice, and guidance. People want to feel taken care of.

5) Freelance Writing / Editing.

Any type of job that you could do remotely can be freelance writing. Think book editing, custom writing, copywriting, copyediting, blog posts, etc., and you have plenty of opportunities to be an effective freelancer. Plus, with thousands of writers available to hire, there's always something more work for you to find in your schedule. There are tons of sites such as Upwork, Fiverr and Elance that let you post your work on their platforms. There’s also a huge opportunity to see the world through a different lens. From books to movies to social media campaigns to advertisements. You could get hired to cover the entire spectrum of jobs that fit into the above categories.

6) Selling / Promoting Your Stuff.

Building things people do not need. Whether its furniture, electronics, clothes, or toys, selling stuff is an easy way to monetize your hobbies and talents. Maybe you run a scrapbook shop, or a vintage item store. Whatever you choose, it’s an exciting little hobby to earn some cash. Don't be afraid to pick an old junk drawer and try selling it on Etsy. Then watch people buy it (again and again).

If you’re looking for ways to save time, here are some tips on how to earn passive income while doing nothing except being home.

1. Watch TV. Netflix and Hulu, Amazon Prime, Hulu, HBO, Showtime, Showtime+, BET, STARZ, AMC, Starz, FX, TNT, CW21, Cbs, TBS, USA, BBC Z, ESPN, Nickelodeon, GSN, HGTV, MTV, Hallmark Channel, OWN, Discovery and others are great options for streaming quality content.

2. Create videos! Creating a video that shows an event or a person’s life is a quick way to generate likes or shares.

3. Uploading clips, photos and graphics on Vimeo or similar platforms is a great side hustle that doesn’t require any technical knowledge or skills.

4. Get Started with Google Sheets. Make sure that you have Google account so you can upload to the web hosting plans, sign up for a domain name and start posting on any site you want.

5. Sell Stock Images/Backgrounds on Envato. Upload images to Envato and start promoting on Instagram and Tumblr.

6. Write articles on LinkedIn or on your own blog. Posting at least 10 to 20 articles a day keeps you busy making money and learning new skills.

7. Download Apps & Games from AppExpo

8) Shopify. Looking to make money from shopping? Sign up for an app to manage and price the stock. I'm going to list a few apps that allow users to create lists, add events to their lists, manage reviews, set budgets and track conversions. Another great tool would be Wix, HubPages and MailChimp.

9) Design Videos. One platform that allows you to display your skill by uploading assets. Lots of creators, designers and independent producers can pick to join YouTube to show off their work, or to post tutorials or demos and other helpful information around certain topics. An example of these would be Adobe XD for Photoshop users.

10. Host a Video Streaming Site on Twitch. Look up the trending topics on Youtube and create a channel or channel. Uploading footage is quick, but you're likely to have to wait a long time to upload your finished product. Platforms like Mixer, VidIQ are popular ones that let you integrate these elements into your main channel, but for smaller projects like documentaries and tv plays, these aren't the easiest platforms.

11) Run Side Projects…

I had mentioned earlier that it takes a lot of knowledge, skill and practice to succeed. However, sometimes what you need is a little bit of inspiration. After all, every day we need to figure out the next project or project. So why not help someone else by getting a job. We could be that person in the community on Reddit, Facebook or Twitter. If you have some programming knowledge (even if it's basic), then you could start developing a solution or a service. Use some of the tools listed here to accomplish whatever you need.

It’s tough finding a way to break the monotony, boredom and despair of sitting on your couch, watching the same television shows over and over again. But I think it's important to appreciate that you're alive and having fun, even though you're not working. We just need each other, and to be active citizens as well. Do it without the pressure of trying too hard, and it will give you the motivation to stay focused on what you want and not give up. Because the more you focus on the end product, the more that you enjoy working hard. Do not let yourself be distracted. Focus on your current task so that you are not tempted to continue with your daydreams. I wish I could say you never lose sight of what you're working on, but that's not reality and you need to be mindful of that instead. At the moment, I'm struggling to balance work and hobbies, but I plan to learn how to juggle it all.
